About us
A community of individuals, families, educators, professionals, and volunteers who share a common commitment: to support children, young people, and adults in challenging circumstances.
Our commitment is rooted in deep connections, daily care and a belief in everyone’s potential.
From one encounter to the next
Cometa is a life that grows through the people it meets: it welcomes and educates children and young people without forgetting any part of their story; it involves families and supports them through difficulties, it forges bonds, and it expresses care through attention to detail and beauty, as a response to each person’s deepest desires.
It began with a simple gesture: welcoming a child in need in 1986 gradually became a shared journey that today embraces schools, educational services, and inclusive workplaces.
A non-profit organization that supports children, young people, and adults on a path of growth, in a place where each person can discover their uniqueness and become fully themselves.
Our values
A shared vision that guides our actions
Home
Everyone is embraced in their entirety and history: at Cometa, they can feel at home. To welcome means to believe in each person’s potential and to walk alongside them, with respect and trust, sharing daily life.
Experience
Experience as an opportunity for self-discovery. Our educational approach is built on hands-on learning, which fosters understanding through practice and direct experience: from doing to knowing.
Uniqueness
Every person is unique and irreplaceable. We welcome individuals for who they are, support them in becoming their true selves, and help them discover their own excellence.
Beauty
Beauty is a longing in every human heart. For us, it is a way of life: a constant attention to detail and a guiding principle in our daily actions.
To be challenged by reality: the longing for a truer humanity.
